What’s New? Texas Live!
In August, a brand new $250 million entertainment district, Texas Live!, opens in Arlington between AT&T Stadium (the home of the Dallas Cowboys) and Globe Life Park (the home of the Texas Rangers). Texas Live! is designed to be a hub for guests looking for dining and entertainment deep in the heart of Dallas-Fort Worth. The 200,000 square foot venue features a variety of restaurants and venues, that combined, can host an event for up to 10,000 guests.
The Texas Live! entertainment district will feature a variety of new spaces, including:
Troy’s is a restaurant and live music venue owned by Cowboys Hall of Famer, Troy Aikman. With indoor seating for 250 and patio seating for 450, it’s convenient for everyone to enjoy the show while dining on gourmet food and signature cocktails. The venue is scheduled to host live music seven days a week! For an added touch, the outdoor garden patio is centered around a live oak tree that was preserved as part of the Texas Rangers’ construction of Globe Life Park.
Live! Arena is a central place for everyone to gather to cheer on their team. The multi-levels create a capacity of 3,000 for both dining and entertainment. The coolest thing about Live! Arena is the 100-foot media wall, where guests can watch sports (or view a presentation) like never before. The venue is great for hosting a meeting or event or just game watching with friends.
Arlington Backyard is a premier outdoor concert venue ideal for festivals and major events. Featuring a capacity of 5,000 the venue will become Arlington’s hottest new event destination. The open-air venue will overlook Globe Life Field.PBR Texas is the largest Professional Bull Riders (PBR) venue in the country. The venue exceeds 1,000-person capacity and features two mechanical bulls, in addition to a 3,000 square foot balcony overlooking Arlington Backyard. If you had to describe PBR in two words, it would be “cowboy cool”.
Sports & Social is a dining and entertainment venue featuring a clubhouse atmosphere that will capture the hearts of dedicated Rangers fans. Not only does this venue serve delicious tavern style food and fancy cocktails, but it also has a complete game parlor. The parlor includes skeeball, shuffleboard, air hockey, ping pong, karaoke, and so much more! The venue boasts a capacity of 1,600 and is ideal for competitive groups, families, and event professionals.Lockhart Smokehouse is serving up authentic Texas style BBQ at its third North Texas location. Host a meeting or event in the 300-capacity venue and your guests will be treated to a mouthwatering menu showcasing what southern cooking is all about.
Troy Aikman isn’t the only star opening a new concept at Texas Live! Guy Fieri’s Taco Joint is bringing Flavortown to Arlington with delicious tex-mex favorites and refreshing margaritas. In addition, Hall of Fame Catcher, Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez, is opening, Pudge’s Pizza, where guests will enjoy the freshest ingredients on his signature pies.
On the horizon for the Arlington entertainment district is a $150 million flagship Live! by Loews Hotel that is already under construction and set to open in 2019. The 14-story hotel will feature 302 guest rooms, a tower terrace, an infinity edge pool, and additional dining options. Meetings and events will be ideal in the hotel’s two-story, 35,000-square-foot Grand Event Center and multi-use event lawn. Construction has also begun on the brand-new home of the Texas Rangers.
