    Get to Know Jayse

Jayse grew up in a suburb about 20 miles west of Dallas and remembers fondly what a treat it was to go to the Big City (Dallas) as a young girl. From “Take Your Daughter to Work Day” at her dad’s office in the Thanksgiving Tower, to her family’s summer staycations at the Hilton Anatole, to the annual day at The State Fair of Texas, the city of Dallas holds many cherished memories from her childhood.

As an adult, Jayse has lived and worked in Dallas for nearly 10 years and is constantly amazed by how much it continues to grow and become even better than before. She spends her free time in Dallas trying out some of the delicious new restaurants, enjoying live music in Deep Ellum, attending artisan festivals to get to know local artists, and exploring the Dallas Farmers Market. Jayse is uniquely able to combine her passion for our great destination with her experience as an Operations Manager at a Global Meetings and Incentive Travel Company to educate Meeting Planners on why our destination is an ideal location for their Meetings & Events. She knows Dallas, and she knows meetings!

Top 10 Reasons to book Your Meeting in Dallas with Jayse

It’s no surprise that Dallas was recently ranked No. 5 on Cvent’s list of Top 50 Meeting Destinations in the United States for 2018 (If you’re keeping track, that’s up 1 from the 2017 ranking as the No. 6 destination in the U.S.). As the only city in Texas to be ranked in the Top 10, it’s obvious Cvent’s users agree it’s a fantastic choice for Meetings and Events, but maybe you haven’t been clued in just yet. These are the Top 10 Reasons to select Dallas for your next meeting:

    1) Your attendees will love that North Texas is centrally located in the U.S. and within a four-hour flight from most North American destinations. Get the meeting started off right by choosing a destination that makes it easy for them to travel to and get settled into before the meeting kicks off.

    2) There are TWO major airports in North Texas and between the two airports, there are nearly 2,200 daily flights giving your guests plenty of convenient flight options. These aren’t just any airports, they’re highly praised airports! DFW Airport was recognized by Air Transport World as the 2019 “Airport of the Year” for its world-class customer experience, innovation, and operational excellence. Dallas Love Field airport was ranked No. 2 among “large airports” in the J.D. Power 2018 North America Airport Satisfaction survey. Your guests will be thanking you later when they can hop on a flight that gets them back at a reasonable hour so they can spend quality time at home and recoup from their travels. And, if those pesky delays do happen, they’ll be resting in comfort at either airport.

    3) Dallas is an excellent choice for “Bleisure” travel (combining Business and Leisure travel). More and more guests want to meet in a destination that excites them and provides an opportunity to extend their trip into a vacation. Not only do your guests have access to all the cool things going on in Dallas, but our destination extends into other major cities that each have a totally different vibe than the other. It’s also affordable, easy to navigate and has a little something for everyone.

    4) The climate in Dallas is mild with sunny days year-round! Your guests will appreciate being able to break free from the meeting room and enjoy some sun and fresh air. Yes, it might get a little warm in the summertime, but rest assured we’ve got some of the best air-conditioned spots this side of the Rio Grande as well as big shady trees and frozen drinks that make patios nearly a year-round hang out spot. You won’t have to worry too much about being stuck in a miserable winter storm either. Yeah, it’s happened before, but it’s rare and we’ve proven we won’t let it stop us from giving our clients a great experience (have you heard about Super Bowl XLV?).

    5) The restaurant scene in Dallas is HOT! In addition to some of the tried and true restaurants that have been delighting taste buds for years, there have been some unique and incredible new spots that have recently opened their doors in Dallas. All over this city you’ll find restaurants that are sure to impress your guests. From a customized tour tasting the best tacos and margaritas in the city to a private dinner at an exclusive restaurant, Dallas has a variety of options for you to choose from.

    6) Dallas alone has more than 20 distinct entertainment districts making it attainable to give your guests a unique experience, whether that’s multiple nights of your meeting or if you come back year after year. The possibilities are nearly endless, so you won’t get stuck doing the same thing. Plus, they’re all centrally located around Dallas’ top hotels ensuring your guests won’t get burnt out by a long and grueling drive to your event.

    7) Dallas boasts the largest contiguous urban Arts District in the nation! Spanning 20 square blocks of downtown Dallas, the district features award-winning museums, performing arts venues, restaurants and bars. A rich cultural experience is within a short walkable distance from nearly any downtown hotel. Guests are no longer impressed only by bright lights and big cities; they want to have an experience that enriches their lives. Give your guests an experience they have been craving!

    8) We’ve got big venues, we’ve got intimate venues, we’ve got old venues, we’ve got new venues, we’ve got a lot of venues! This is starting to sound like a Dr. Seuss quote, but it’s all true and with billions of dollars being spent on development over the years, there’s no sign of it stopping. You’ll be able to have your pick of the perfect venue for your off-site needs that are within easy reach of your hotel. The tough part will be deciding on the venue because there are truly so many good options here.

    9) Texas is known as ‘The Friendly State’ and the good people in Dallas live true to that! Gracious hospitality and superb customer service beam brightly throughout the city. You can rest assured that your guests will be treated with kindness and taken care of throughout their stay in Dallas.

    10) Last but certainly not least, Dallas is Affordable! That’s right, I said it. When compared to other major meeting destinations, Dallas is as affordable as they come for a couple of reasons. It’s a right-to-work state, so you’ll enjoy some of the lowest production costs in the country. There are more than 80,000 hotel rooms in Dallas allowing you to source a hotel within your meeting budget. Not to mention, Dallas has been ranked as some of the lowest room rates in the US.
