North Texas’ Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings In 2017

Dallas-Fort Worth is set to continue its stellar reputation as a Foodie Destination with each new, exciting and unique restaurant that hits the scene. With more than 12,000 restaurants in Dallas alone, and counting, it’s easy to find the perfect restaurant that fits your budget, group size and taste. Here are some of the most highly anticipated spots to hit Dallas-Fort Worth in 2017.

Mirador (Downtown Dallas) – The stylish new restaurant opened in January on the fourth floor of luxury retailer Forty Five Ten’s new downtown store across the street from the Joule Hotel. The restaurant boasts expansive views of downtown through 11-foot floor-to-ceiling windows and a wrap-around terrace overlooking Tony Tasset’s outdoor sculpture Eye. Chef Milton “Junior” Borges, Executive Director at the Joule, will oversee the restaurants’ modern American menu. The space features a semi-private area for up to 24 and a secluded event room adjacent to the lounge with a capacity of 40.

Circo Dallas (Uptown Dallas) – The casual little sister to Le Cirque, the New York restaurant from Sirio Maccioni will open this Spring on the bottom two floors of the fabulous new One Uptown tower. The restaurant’s menu will feature upscale Italian cuisine. Guests will enjoy the resort-style amenities at the Circo Beach Club upstairs, including a glass-bottomed pool surrounded by private cabanas for cocktails and spa treatments. For the guests that want to dine in the restaurant downstairs after a dip in the pool, they can utilize the locker rooms to change out of their swimsuits.

Roots Southern Kitchen (Trinity Groves) – This Spring, Tiffany Derry is set to open her newest restaurant venture, Roots, at the restaurant incubator, Trinity Groves. You may have heard of her as a contestant on the television show, Top Chef. Chef Derry brings to life her Southern upbringing with farm fresh flavors and rustic dishes at her new cozy spot. She also recently opened The Cupboard, a food stall featuring grab-n-go offerings, at the new Uptown Urban Market.

The Star in Frisco Restaurants (Frisco)As if the Star in Frisco couldn’t get any better, it will be bringing with it some big names to add to the restaurant line up in North Dallas this summer. Notable restaurants include high-end steakhouse and sushi bar, Dee Lincoln Prime; massively popular steakhouse, Neighborhood Services; authentic Mexican restaurant with legendary margaritas, Mi Cocina; an eclectic southern restaurant,  Tupelo Honey Café; and a gastropub from Chicago known as City Works. It was recently announced that award-winning DC-based chef, Jose Andres, will be expanding his restaurant empire by opening the second location of Zaytinya at The Star in Frisco.

Trophy Park Sports Lounge (Frisco) – Also joining the lineup at The Star in Frisco this spring is an adult playground/restaurant concept serving a smorgasbord of classic and modern American cuisine. Trophy Park Sports Lounge will feature bowling lanes, gaming lounges, two bars and a large dining area inside the 14,000 sq. ft. space. Outside, guests will enjoy a bocce court, golf putting green and a massive 30-foot screen to watch the hottest sporting events.

Corrientes 348 (Downtown Dallas) – This summer, a new restaurant will open in the space that was formerly Stephan Pyles’ Steakhouse. The 10,000 sq. ft. restaurant will bring to life a sexy Argentinean steakhouse concept with a family-style focus. The upscale design will include a main dining room, patio and three private spaces to accommodate a total of 300 guests.

Legacy Hall (Plano) – This innovative culinary and entertainment destination is set to open in the fall at Plano’s newest development, Legacy West. The three story food hall will feature 20+ artisanal food stalls, a full-service bar, on-site brewery, beer garden and live music stage. Some of the biggest names in the Dallas foodie scene are rumored to be opening up shop, and we can’t wait to see the line-up. We know it will be a must-go foodie destination in North Texas.
