How do you carry on as planned when a record-breaking snowstorm hits Dallas on the day of your high-profile event and blankets the town in over 12 inches of snow?

The Ultimate Ventures Solution:
This was no ordinary day in Dallas. In fact, 12.5 inches of snow fell in a 24-hour period making it the largest snowfall recorded in Dallas/Fort Worth history. With flights being cancelled, power outages across the area, and residents unaccustomed to driving on snow, the challenges were unusual and unexpected.

The UV team and its vendors sprang into action to make sure this fundraiser took place, and that guests and sponsors were not further inconvenienced. From securing extra supplies (such as snow shovels and sand) to having staff arrive early and stay overtime, we stayed proactive and worked hard to anticipate the unexpected.

The Result:
The event was fully attended by over 600 people despite the prohibitive weather. The Ultimate Ventures team went to every length to ensure that guests were accommodated, sponsors were satisfied, and most importantly, that the charities’ mission was successfully supported.
